MyEquifax lockout

Does anyone have much experience using myEquifax?  My SO and I both created accounts today, and we were able to log in initially.  For both of our accounts, when we tried to log back it gave us a message that the account was locked due to too many incorrect login attempts.  In both cases, it was our second time ever trying to log into the site and we used our correct credentials, so it seemed odd.  Is this normal behavior for this site, like a security feature or something?

Re: MyEquifax lockout

Out of the 3 CBs this is the one I don't have access to for annualcreditreport pulls or myEq for disputes :/

Yeah, we made myEQ accounts in part b/c my SO can't access their EQ report through ACR, due to the bonkers questions about non-existent accounts.  Super frustrating.

Switching browsers to Edge (gross) fixed it.  To the future forum user who finds this post in two years when they have their own login problems:  Hello!  I hope this fix works for you, too.

Incognito mode might also fix it.

Great that worked for you. Sometimes clearing your cookies and cache helps also and yes for some reason different browsers will often do the trick.

Re: MyEquifax lockout

I too made one last year I believe and after my 1st login, got locked out. Firefox is my preferred browser, but I didn't think it was a browser issue. It may not have been anyway, because after I got locked out, I called and they seemingly did see an issue with my account on their end and they had to verify my identity and whatnot and then finally they unlocked my account. Don't remember what the issue was, but I did have to actually call to fix it.
