MyFico credit reports not same info as those you buy directly from CRA

I'm a little miffed- I bought my by CR directly from Experian and it was really nothing like the CR from MyFico Cr

has anyone else experienced this?

They listed late payments that I had GW successfully off of one report and they never showed here on myfico reports - so I never went to GW them and now I had to.

I am going to have to buy each one from each individual website and scrutinize it to teh ones compared on myfico-

I am miffed to say the least

Well, that is irritating! I noticed that the reports from myFICO (and TC) aren't as detailed, but I thought they had all the important stuff. I would hate to think that a report from another source could cram any more old lates in! Smiley Mad

I like the ones from annualcreditreport.com best, but it's not very helpful being restricted to one each per year.

To be honest- it was really disconcerting. The myfico EQ report had two accounts that weren't listed on the reg. report from EQ and like I said, the late student loans that I thought were gone were not listed on the myfico report and were on the reg. EQ report.

I think what i am going to do from now on is buy it directly from the CRA- and just get my scores from myfico.,

I still am quite ticked though. I thought they would be the same.

I've about decided that FICO could package and sell a service of buying scores only. So many of us pull frequently from other services or directly from the CRA's that we don't need the reports from myFICO. But we do need the scores. If they'd discount those, they could make a fortune off of us. (Even more than they already do!)

I totally agree, it's senseless.  I got my triple reports with the Suze Orman kit (myfico) and did not realize (suppose I shoulda) that they are 'resold' reports.  BTW resold reports have less info generally especially with how far back the TL info details go.  But I don't understand why the resold would have more info in your case (the GWs not deleted).

I wish I knew exactly what database they pull this from.  I would hate to think that I have to pay for both direct pulls and resolds to make sure I have all my errors fixed.... 6 reports?  On a side note, I wonder if the annual free ones are their own 3rd entity or which they mimic, direct or the resolds.  I don't want to think I there may be 9 diffrerent reports to clean up.  Hopefully INQs and scores are only off of the direct CBR report.  I would imagine so but who knows...

I get to deal with all this upcoming week.  Yay me!

Re: MyFico credit reports not same info as those you buy directly from CRA

I guess it depends on what you need.  If you are trying to clean up your credit, then you need to buy each report independently from each CRA.  If you need your scores for financing, then it depends what you are financing.  Also, I was told at a home buyer's workshop that the score you get from any place else (including the CRA) is often different than ACTUAL FICO score.

If you are going to be making a major purchase (like a car) and just want to check your current score, then you could get the three-in-one report and take that with you to the auto dealership -- no reason to get another ding on your report if they aren't going to approve you with what you bring.  It might also help to call the dealership ahead of time and ask them what CRA they use.  They usually only use one.

However, if you're going to be buying a house, then after you've cleaned up your credit, you need to order the three-in-one report because all of the lenders use those three scores that they get from FICO.  The scores that you get from myfico.com should be the same FICO scores that the lenders pull.

Just to clarify, I believe the OP is just discussing the potential (and ever common) discrepancies between resolds and direct CBRs, not FICO vs FAKO etc.

I'm telling myself firmly that the annual free reports ARE the reports pulled from each CRA. I'm pretty sure that the annualyadayada website is simply the gateway to get directly to each bureau. I noticed that all three of my freebies look very different from one another, and each one matches the ones that I paid $$$ to the CRA's for. Lordy, I hope so. What a thought, 9 reports to clean up!
