NFCU reports a month behind

So had card 4 months now and was waiting for it to report as my balance decreased and would get a bounce on fico. Called up and lady says because there was a holiday they use previous months report and dont report again til Aug 13. **bleep**? I used a perfect strategy to move money around so id get a bounce and they pull this crap. Anyone else ever hear of this?

No. Never heard of it or experienced it with NFCU.

My account reports every month like clockwork a couple of days after the statement cuts.

When does your statement cut?

Re: NFCU reports a month behind

Looks like mine report on the 13th, also.  I just checked CCT and I have the July statement balance showing on my Flagship card on EX, but checking CK, both TU and EQ were last reported June 13th and show the June statement balance.  Either the last two just haven't updated this month yet, or for some reason they did only report to EX this month.  Weird.

Edit: Oh boy, I should get more sleep.  My CK reports are dated the 14th, so it's likely that they just hadn't been updated yet the day after being reported.  CCT spoils me with the daily reports.

Edit #2: I just remembered that even though I closed my last card, I still have a Capital One login.  According to CreditWise, TU was last updated July 13th and shows my July statement balance, so assuming all is normal and they are all reporting every month as expected.  FWIW my $15k CLOC still hasn't reported to any of the bureaus after 15 months.

Re: NFCU reports a month behind

It sounds to me like a rep that has no idea.

I think you got bad info- It almost sounds like the rep was talking about the AR...

Where are you checking for the reporting/score at?

Re: NFCU reports a month behind

Mine closes 10th reports 13th. It reported every month before this. I have Myfico monthly so I get updates instantly. I thought maybe the rep was a dope as well and didn't understand the whole "because there was a holiday there wasnt a full 30 days so we report previous month" line. I tried asking more questions in many ways but she was steadfast in what she was saying.

Really pissed as I moved money around so my Fico would go up for 5 days after NFCU reports big balance decrease soI can app for Car loan more cards etc, that strategy is out window now.

Called back, cust serv rep said other lady was loco. They report new every month. I just saw on my CKarma EQ that it did update just now. Not on myfico tho, no update there, which is really all that matters.

Ok.

Thanks for the update...

That's what I figured the rep was confuzzled.

Glad you can keep to your plan now..

One question, do I need to wait til I get the notification from Myfico about balance decrease or has it updated if CK sees it?

If CK sees it, it's in that bureau's report.
