NFCU status.....Next steps?

3/27/23- Joined with a checking account (minimal direct deposit weekly-$20.00)

4/8/23- Approved for CashRewards $500.00 CL 18%.  Scores in 650-670 range

7/15/23-  CashRewards CLI to $1500.00 approved

12/13/23- GoRewards approved, $9,500 CL 18%

12/17/23- $5,000 Unsecured debt consolidation loan approved at 18%.  All balances paid to zero (including Cash Rewards).

12/22/23- SaveFirst CD opened with minimal deposit

Income of 120,000

23 open accounts, all at zero (only 3 reported as zero, waiting on more reporting).  $55,000 available credit, scores between 650-725.

So, Im going to garden for a little while.  I should be at 91/3 for the Cash Rewards in mid-Jan.  What $$$ CLI should I try for then?

Thoughts?  Anything else I could be doing to boost and better my relationship?

Thanks!

No, you're doing just fine. Just make sure you let at least one account report a balance before you pay it off.

As to a CLI request, you might as well go for NFCU's standard maximum these days -- $8k.

NCFU needs time more than anything.  I have no checking account with them and $5 in my savings account.  Get a card, use the card, pay the card, and wait.

GL!

Rebuild started in 2014  -  $100k unsecured credit in 2017  -  $500k unsecured credit in 2024.

@SouthJamaica , I have seen here where people have recommended doing 3x the current limit, which would only bring me to $6,000.

Will they counter?
