There are currently 3 separate packages:
1. Essentials 1B - Monthly access to a new Equifax credit report
2. Ultimate 3B - Quarterly access to a new 3-bureau credit report
3. Score 3B Report - Current 3-bureau credit report
So the only thing that is in real time (or close to real time) are the credit scores. The credit reports are not real time. They only updated at the frequency of the above time tables- which is when you selected to "pull the report". The only way to get new reports early is to pay for the new reports. That's why many people use other sites for up-to-date reports.

The triggers for updating are not uniform across all the CRAs so this may be why

There's two different things you may want.
(1) REPORTS: You may want to see concrete evidence of the fact that those negative records are no longer on your report.
(2) SCORES: You may want to see how your FICO scores have changed now that the negative records are no longer on your reports.
You can get #1 for free by joining Credit Karma. CK will give you your TU and EQ reports. You should not try to compare the scores you get at Karma to the ones you got at myFICO. The two sets of scores use different scoring systems.

Your call. If you want to confirm you'll have to pull reports. You don't have to wait for your monitoring service to offer updates reports and you don't have to use myFICO.
