Name Verification System by GE? :O

So i was chatting live with an GE Walmart agent about adding an authorized user, asking if they will report to the authorized user too. I ask this because they only ask for a name and last name, not even an address or last #4 ssn. She told me they only need a name to report, since they have a Name Verification System.... how that works out with hundred of ppl with the same name and last name conbination? Thanks.

I think it lies in your desciption of your new AU.

If your name is Simon Smith, and you're adding your wife Susan Smith to your account, verifying the name is enough...

...because odds are that only ONE Susan Smith lives at YOUR address. 

...or something like that...  I think...

When I added my son to my Nationwide account, they were concerned about "piggybacking"...but verifying that he had the same last name as I do put them at ease.
