Re: National City Identity Protect instead of TC....

Another nice benefit of NC is the categorization of accounts.

Revolving Accounts: Accounts with an open-end term
Installment Accounts: Accounts comprised of fixed terms with regular payments
Other: Accounts in which the exact category is unknown

DW's AMEX Green (as well as my AMEX Green paid COLL) are listed in the last category so it seems it's coded in a such a way that it won't impact util.

My question is - I joined both MyFico Score Watch and TrueCredit.  Though the TU and EX scores on TC are very close to what the finance company pulled, there was over a 100 pt difference between the EQ score on MYSW and TC.  The MYSW score was right on to what the CR stated, TC score over 100 pts higher and I think it is actually more accurate.

Also - being a newbie, I have no idea what FAKO means.  Help please?

See the Credit Monitoring and Newbie links in my sig.

FAKO is a play on words. Scores which aren't FICOs are sort fake, thus FAKOs.

Personally, I think FAKOs are useful as a gauge, but it is a rough gauge. Some report FAKOs and FICOs within 20-30 points of one another. Others report a100-150 point differences. YMMV.
