First off, Happy holidays to everyone on the board!
I know the board will be kinda quite for the next few days so ill post now and read later...lol
Ok..As some of you may know...I was having a battle of a lifetime with a child support issue. Two states reporting the same child (I live in Indiana..my child lives in Illinois..20 mins from me). Well my order was from Indiana and they have controlling status. Well Illinois took it upond themselfs to add to my report in the amount of $7844, $11194 and $12118 depending on what day of the week I pulled my report (no joke..I have the reports to prove it). Also, on my report they changed the last two numbers on my cause/case number to have it look like a whole different cause/case number if I disputed it (which I did and got the these are two diffrent accts from the CRA's). All of this has been going on for about 4 months now. Back and forth CMRRR to the agency...AG..Director of the agency..his right hand..lol everybody I could think of. Well today I received a letter from Illinois saying as of Nov 30...hey have adjusted my amount to $2455.00 And they have my acct number the same as the Indiana cause/case number. But in my eyes, they are still trying to collect for th same child (and they sent a payment authoriztion sheet...lol)And get this..on the paperwork it says..Total due $20,790.00...total payments $19,792.18...remainding balance $2455.82. I guess math is not a req when dealing with people lives and millions of $$$!
Now what I need from the family is a letter (cause im drawing a blank) on telling them (cause ill never ask) to delete this off of my credit reports because:
1. When they report it, it will now be a dup (if they really change the number on my report)
and
2. No matter how they look at it, Child support Interstate laws would never change just so they could be right
(Law states if only one state has a order..it is the controlling order and can not be changed unless I move out of Indiana and she request to modify it in her state..or i consent to let Illinois take control)
Im paying through Indiana because thats what my order say I am suppose to do. Please help !
