Sounding like a mom here but...
You could access the accounts online and make a payment at any time during your move/relocation/PCS. No walk for not receiving a paper bill.
1) I have a judgement that was paid in full and it is still showing a balance and that it is not paid.
Dispue as paid and fax the CRAs the judgement satisfaction. If you don't have one call the courthouse and they will send to you.
2) I have a Sallie Mae (student loan) that is showing 90 days on May 2005. That account is fully paid.
Dispute and fax to the CRAs the release of final paperwork
3) I have an account that is showing ChargeOff on Experian - that account became 30days delinquent around September 2000. It is still on my report. It was also paid off a couple of years ago in a settlement.
DOFD? Not sure if the clock re-started with payment. Check reports for Drop date.
4) I have a collection account RCVL PER MNG that is showing Paid on EQ and EX but showing derogatory on TU but showing a 0 balance on TU
Dispute with TU to show paid status
5) Now comes the long story. I went for an overseas trip for 4 months. During that time I fell behind on payments on 8 different cards. Within 2 months of returning I had paid most of my balances off to either 0 or close to it. But all those accounts show late payments ranging from 30-120 days. I am in my last year of med school and I moved to Norfolk, VA to finish my rotations. For some reason my bills have not been forwarded to me and thus I havent made any payments. so once again I am back to 90 days late on alot of accounts. I have a lease to show as proof of my living here. All the charges that are adding up are late fee + overlimit fee+ finance + etc.
a) Target - I paid them off end of April - 90 days late and now again I am 120 days late. The total that is owed is 137. All of which are late fees, I think there was like $2.00 on the card before I moved. And now the condition says that it is closed. I dont see any collection hits on my report yet so I dont think it has gone to collections...I want to keep the card open and remove the late payments from my credit report....do you think it is possible and I dont want to pay $137 in late fees.
Call them - ask for a supervisor... see if they can GW some of the fees then pay it (and re-open) good payment with them gets you a target visa.
b) Old Navy - I paid them off end of April - 120 days late - they closed my acct but are showing closed (paid) 0 balance. The pay status for EQ and TU is current but for EX it is Late 120 days. Do you think it is possible to have them remove my late payments if I tell them I was out of the country and show my passport.
Nope - feel good it's only on one report. If OCONUS on orders, then maybe you can GW and get results.
c) Banana Republic - Same as Old Navy
Ditto
d) Capital One - Paid to 0 balance at end of april -120 days late. It is current right now with a 0 balance. How do I get them to remove the late payments from all 3.
GW letter
e) Plains Commerce - Paid to 0 balance at end of april - 90 days late. It is current right now with a 0 balance. How do I get them to remove the late payments from all 3.
GW letter
f) First Premier
the monthly fees did this - and you know they have them. Pay and get rid of it.
g) HSBC NV -
Call them - see if they will reduce it somewhat and pay.
Wait 2-3 years and then dispute any CC acoount with the lates as 'never late' -- MOST (not all) CCC cannot verify something that old (they purge records) - here business are required to keep records for 3 years (except tax returns) many keep for 4 to be safe.
Welcome to Norfolk!
Are you military?
