I have an acct from Palisades that just showed up on my credit report.  There is no account number and no OC information.  I have no idea what this is.  I haven't received a letter from Palisades. I want to send a DV letter.  Can someone give me their address or fax # to send it to?

If there is no account #  dispute with the CRA...they must furnish you with complete acc #  name & address  or delete!

Wow, please post how you went about suing them, what was due cause, etc. I really hate that my score was going up then they started showing up from nowhere.

Re: Need help with Palisades

I have been fighting with Palisades and AT&T for a little over 3 years now since they appeared on my credit report.

Palisades states I owe AT&T the amazing sum of $32.65 for a number which I never had. I have had AT&T Cellular service since they were AT&T Wireless, then Cingular, and now AT&T Mobility. In all that time I have had the same number, with 2 family add on lines on the same account.

I have contacted AT&T (MANY TIMES) regarding the collection they placed, I am told no collection was never placed, that I am a great a loyal customer, but that there is nothing they can do.

When I contact Palisades I am told that AT&T will have to contact them to clear up the issue.

Doing what any good consumer would do I contacted all three credit reporting agencies and disputed the details. After verification Experian removed the item, Trans Union removed the item, Equifax said it was a valid collection!!!

I have since disputed the item with Equifax 4 times and placed a consumer statement on my file. Recently, I contacted AT&T again, and they transfered me to someone who said they would open a case and force Palisades to remove the item that was associated with my SSN. We will see.

I am curious as to how 2 out of 3 CR's remove the item, and the other repeatedly looks the other way as this company (which borders on criminal activity) is allowed to ruin our credit.

BONUS PROBLEM: I contacted Palisades after speaking with AT&T and they (James) informed me that I could no longer settle the debt or review it with him, I would need to contact Plaza Associates. When I contacted them they knew of no AT&T account and had nothing listed under my SSN, yet the item still shows on my report.

Re: Need help with Palisades

I don't know what to say, do you think you should send all your correspondence to Fair Credit Reporting Agency?

Re: Need help with Palisades

I would sue them-

Make a good paper trail- each contact, each dispute, each letter,

Get a letter from AT&T -
