Need some LexisNexis help

Hey everyone,

I requested a report from LexisNexis Risk Solutions about 2 weeks ago.  I got an envelope in the mail today with an html and pin number.  Put those in, got my report... it seems incomplete?  Maybe I ordered the wrong one?

The report is 34 pages.

Page 1-2:  introductory letter

Page 3:  table of contents

Pages 4-7:  identification records listing every address I ever lived at, more than once

Pages 8-15:  "address characterization record" ?  Another listing of every address I have ever lived at, more than once, with info from USPS about dwelling type and mail drop type

Page 16:  Past phone numbers

Pages 17-21:  My car insurance policies including every car listed

Pages 22-24:  Motor vehicle records - tickets and such

Pages 25-29:  Inquiries

Page 30:  Blank page

Page 31-32:  FAQ

Page 33-34:  Consumer rights

So frankly none of this was useful.  I was under the impression they listed property records, assets, vehicles I own?  I have an IRS tax lien, no mention of that?  Did I order the wrong thing or was my impression wrong?   Basically I got a list of old addresses, phone numbers, and insurance policies.

Was there a different report I should have ordered instead?  Thanks everyone

Re: Need some LexisNexis help

You didn't mention it but your report introduction should also show your complete SSN.

At first read it appears that you did get a complete Consumer Report except for the federal tax lien (unless it was withdrawn, but you would have been notified by the IRS vis US Mail if that were the case),  unless you have a mortage or you own some boats that have been registered.

You'll see insurance information on your vehicles, but not the vehicles themselves.

Based on your comments it does sound like your report is complete.

Re: Need some LexisNexis help

Okay, thanks for the info.  Not sure why the lien isn't showing up.  There is no reason for it to be withdrawn yet and it's fairly recent.

I had seen posts in the past saying it showed everything down to their amazon purchases, and complaints it was too invasive.

So, I expected it would show a little more.  Thought it would have things like titles, bank accounts, pretty much anything under your name.

It seems I thought wrong!  I thought it would be a much more useful tool.

Re: Need some LexisNexis help

You can always open up disputes but this is one time you might want to leave things well alone.    Don't be surprised if at some point that lien does turn up on your report, as it's a public record that eventually gets filed by default at your county courthouse and the IRS knows how to file them correctly so they comply with the current reporting guidelines so can't be easily disputed off for having incomplete information.

Sagestream is part of LexisNexis now, and they certainly have a CR that looks human.

Cheers.

I don’t think you have everything. Double check.

Re: Need some LexisNexis help

I didn't think so either, otherwise I don't know why anyone would order one of these.  Not sure how a list of old addresses, phone numbers, tickets and insurance policies is useful to anyone except those looking for a trip down memory lane.  I just figured there was some other reason people needed these that I am clueless about...  /shrug?

I have a copy I printed right off the bat before looking at it (and I'm annoyed I wasted the paper and ink) as well as the digital copy I browsed while waiting on the printer.  I've looked at it 4 or 5 times, and then once more to double check before making the post.

Re: Need some LexisNexis help

I don’t recall all the names, but IIRC, there’s one for auto insurance, there’s one for home insurance, there’s full file disclosure, and then there is the one that has all your identity questions - Accent****? It’s been a while, so I can’t remember exactly.
