I really hope that they make it a legal requirement that the credit bureaus must offer free credit reports to consumers any time they request it, and that FICO must allow consumers to see ALL VERSIONS of their fico scores.

I assume that FICO, which had to lay off 200 of their employees in Feb, would love to sell us every version of every FICO score, but they can't. Hopefully this new agency will give them the freedom to do so.

Maybe FICO should just start their own credit bureau or buy one of the others...

I personally believe that 1 bureau only should exists and it should be a government regulated venture not a private entity. I personally beleive the credit system is broken and unregulated (also full of tricks.)

If you think the present system is bad, having one bureau and governement control would completely destroy the system. Can you name ANY system that the governement has made better?

It beats having 3 for profit companies running it. None of them talk to each other, creditors report whatever they want and all we can do is dispute, he said she said where the creditos are always right unless you have the money to fight it.

Here buy your score for 20 bucks, it may be correct it may not be.

The system is broke big time.
