New MyFico Alert but can't figure it out?

Hey guys,

The alert I received says, "that a disput reported to TransUnion has been removed".  I have no idea which dispute was?  It gives no other information or what company?  Any ideas on how to figure it out?

All it says is

Thank you,

Re: New MyFico Alert but can't figure it out?

are you viewing from a mobile device or desktop?

I don't have any recent alerts for the same thing but I do have some things I disputed which resulted in only an "account update" but when I click on the alert then it shows me what company it was for. maybe for whatever reason it's different when something is deleted?

Current Score: EQ 708 | TU ??? | EX 714
Score highs: EQ 715 | TU 704 | EX 718 (02/2020)
Starting Score: EQ 616 | TU 614 | EX 585 (02/18/2018)
Goal Score: 740

I'm viewing from my laptop.  When I click on it, it just says "a dispute listed on your credit report has been removed".  When I click on it,, under details, it says, "number of disputes on file went from 5 to 4".  No details on what dispute or when the dispute was made or created.  My new credit report just came available on the 24th of March so I can't run a new one to see if that tells me anything.  I reviewed the March 24th report and I still don't see it.  So, I am at a loss.

Thanks for the reply!

There's a wide variety of free or ultracheap tools out there that enable frequent pulls of a person's credit reports.  For example...

Free:

Credit Karma (TU and EQ).  As often as once every 7 days.

Wallet Hub (TU).  Daily.

CreditScore.com (EX).  Monthly.

Ultracheap:

Credit Check Total (all three) -- $1 trial offer.

Thanks but I am not sure those other sites will show the MyFico alert to show me what MyFico is alerting me about.

Re: New MyFico Alert but can't figure it out?

No, but they will show you your report.  I am guessing you have a copy of the March 24 report and that you know which accounts were then under dispute.  A report dated March 31 from WalletHub or Karma may indicate the accounts that are still under dispute, enabling you to correctly infer which one is no longer under dispute or whether one of the accounts changed in the way you were hoping for.

Or you can just wait for a few weeks.

Do you pay $40/month to myFICO for their service?  Many of us just use free tools, but of course if you feel good about the price than that's all that matters.

Thanks for your reply.  I looked and the report from 3/24 doesn't show 5 disputes, that's why I am confused.  It shows 4, which are still on there, which I am still trying to send Good Faith letters to have those removed but the 5th has me at a loss.

I do pay because I want to see FICO not the Vantage.  I thought that Vantage were considered FAKO scores, am I mistaken?

Thank you again!

Re: New MyFico Alert but can't figure it out?

CGID is suggesting the use of free CMS software to see your reports more often than is currently the case with MF. Some free services like CK provide non-FICO scores, but you can ignore them and simply use the service to see more frequent updates to your credit reports. Should you desire your three FICO 8 scores you can go with the ultra cheap option CGID gave, which is a dollar trial membership through Creditchecktotal.

Re: New MyFico Alert but can't figure it out?

Nice post by BBS just now.  There are lots of ways to get free or almost free FICO scores.  CCT is one ($1).  CreditScore.com is another.  And lots of credit cards give free FICO scores: Amex, Citi, Bank of America, Discover, etc.

And there are lots of places to get free reports now.

Re: New MyFico Alert but can't figure it out?

Just today I had something similar happen. I had a MyFICO alert on Transunion that said “A Personal Finance account was removed from your credit report.” There was no info to which account this was and I had no clue what it could have been. I just registered for WalletHub to get an updated TU report and it said a new Public Record was added today. This wasn’t actually new, it’s a past tax lien that I’ve previously disputed. So for some reason it seems like it was removed and instantly added back, weird. There was no change in my FICO score so it makes sense from that perspective. But still a little weird.

Current Score: EQ 708 | TU ??? | EX 714
Score highs: EQ 715 | TU 704 | EX 718 (02/2020)
Starting Score: EQ 616 | TU 614 | EX 585 (02/18/2018)
Goal Score: 740
