I'm thinking even if SOL as far as small claims goes is up would having this NOW put on my credit report(s?) and effecting my scores not give reason enough for me to have a new claim.To me it seems like defemation of charechter seeing that the workmanship was in fact shotty and should not effect ME! in this way.I really believe the CA knew I was right or why would they have waited 4 years to turn me over and always leave our calls with "we will try and work this out".I think it was more of a vindictive procedure as I completly lost it with the last agent who was actually a higher up at the Collection Agency.Just does not seem fair..Oh with EQ I did file a complaint and they have listed in my reprt "customer disputs claim".Just bothers the hell out of me and now especially with my scores (other 2) reflecting my true finacial charechter I have to have this (you know what) dragging one down.
No have not had it corrected.Like I said earlier up untill recently it was an ongoing back and forth with the CA on the phone.Most of the agents completly understood my position in refrence to the job not being done properly and I was allways left with "we will contact Mr so and so" and the call would end.It's been so long pretty soon I will have to just replace the awnings due to age LOL.My only concern now is the ding it is doing to my credit and like I have said I take a great deal of pride in that as I had been not so fortunate some years ago with having to file BK.The amount of the job was $1,200 and the balance is $408...not alot and like I said would have and still will pay in full for a completed job.The question I ask myself is should I go against what I belive in and pay this debt??? or will it just make it worse at this point?I have no reason to need financing as I own my house and own my car...so I guess we can say at this point it's driven by ego? and wanting to have the best Scores I can get because in this world who knows what lies down the road.
