There is no way to know how much your scores will go up or down. Keep in mind that every time that a creditor reports brings the account current & might hurt, Every time that you dispute you take a chance of it updating.
The report date from any CA does not mean that that is the DOFD/DOLA.
1.Cavalry Portfolio/$222 from 12/28/06. Is this the report date? Do you know the DOFD or when you last paid??
2.MAF Collection Services(a bill that insurance did not pay that I was no notified about until it showed up on my credit report) $158 from 11/5/03.<< report date or DOFD?
What is your SOL??
Civil and small claim judgments: Remain seven years from the date the judgment is filed.
I would dispute this with all CRAs reporting as *obsolete*
When dealing with CAs you would not dispute (yet) you send a DV letter CMRRR
The CA has 30 days to answer & prove that the debt is yours.
After they answer the DV you send them a PFD CMRRR
If past SOL you hae a better chance of them accepting a PFD.
IF you pay without a PFD it will remain on you CR as paid....this will NOT help your scores.
