New to this. What does DV PFD mean?

I am not familiar with all the acronyms used on this site. What does DV and PFD mean. I have a collection agency that I would like to pay off a debt with and I want this done correctly so my Fico score will reflect the account as paid in full.

Sorry for the previous question. I see they are posted in the abbreviations folder. But I could still use help on how i get this collection agency to remove or at least show the debt as paid in full once i send them the money. Is there a standard letter I should use? Please help.
