Non fico 8 or split file SYCN

Twice now i have had TU pulled and its a huge difference in score to accual fico8(from CCT and card apps). The gap pull and lowes pull i had done were 130 points off from other pulls. Is it split file or different model they are using?

i see now it says range from 300 to high of 620.

I think it might be an internal score using TU as a baseline..?

Internal score, Synchrony which I believe underwrites Lowes is known for using it.  That score range doesn't match FICO, doesn't match Vantage, so it's a third party one and likely internal in this case off the TU dataset as the BlkCivic correctly suggested.

Weird, when Synch has pulled mine it is either dead on or pretty close to what some other places pulled at the same time.

Lenders will pull multiple scores, or sometimes a mix of one vs. the other with no discernible reason on our end other than simply random statistical sampling for analysis by the lenders (and for a fact it's cheaper for them to use the internal score).

A split file would affect anyone pulling your report and would also impact any scoring model since every model uses the data in the report to generate a score.

That's definitely not a scoring range for a FICO model.  See also the Understanding FICO Scoring subforum and its stickies.

Frustrating when we dont have anything to go off of. know way to wait our odds in these situations.

Re: Non fico 8 or split file SYCN

my experience is if you TU is pretty good 680+ for some cards, 700+ for visa's and mastercard's that internal score of theirs shouldnt matter much. I havent seen it in a long time, last time I remember seeing mine was on a gap store card from 2 years ago and they approved me for 200 dollar limit and my score was like 399 out of 600. Actual TU was 640.

Yeah I think a lot use an internal system based off of the information in the actual report (TU, EX, EQ). I've seen some scores and just started laughing by some of the ranges. If I see a range other than 350-850 I figure they are using an internal system
