A fellow mF'er mentioned (sorry I don't recall your name) that if you apply for Langley membership there was no HP for your credit.
Since I was technically gardening (I did have something going on with PenFed, but shh, still waiting on that) I wasn't interested in getting a CC at the moment, was going to wait.
Just now I get a call, thinking it was PenFed, so I answered and it was Langley. A very friendly woman basically said since there was a HP of my credit report (EQ) would I like to take advantage of the HP and try for one of their CCs. I was totally not prepared. I asked are you sure there was a HP, I don't recall any notice, she said yes there was. I quickly looked at their CC offerings and just said "Ok, how about the Signature Cash Back VISA" We went over the app over the phone, asked what I would like as a SL, I just went for it and said $25K. She did something on her end, and I believe she said the next step it would go thru UW and they would reach out to me in 24-hours. I said is this standard, is it usually instant approvals (never said instant denials lol) so said no, sometimes they are instant and sometimes they are not.
This is probably going to mess me up with PENFED now. I JUST last night decided to wing it and try for their card seeing my BK13 finally came off my EQ and my score is the highest its ever been (777) and I know Penfed pulls EQ and per EQ I only have 4 INQs so I went for it.
Watch my luck I will be denied on both PenFed and Langley now..

Congratulations on the BK falling off! Worrying will do you no good now. I'm going to put on my hopelessly optimistic hat and hope that both cards are approved! 😁

Have you eyed your cr's to see if there really was a hp with your membership? Did she ask for your SS#?
I checked after the call and after posting this there was an HP on my EQ for Langley - I guess when I saw it come in I assumed it was PENFED. I don't recall her asking for my SS#, she prob had that information when I submitted for membership and opened both a checking and a savings over the weekend.
