Opinion needed.

I have an old collection for Southwestern Bell/ dba ATT for $125.00 that was not paid at the time of my divorce.  I am almost certain this bill was paid, but do not have any paperwork to fall back on.I am planning on applying for a home loan before April, and was wanting some direction on how to handle this. I'm sure a mortgage co would frown on this, even though it is for such a small amount. Should I contact SWB/ATT and see if I can pay them directly? Then contact the CA and hopefully they will remove it? In writing of course! Thanks in advance for any help.

Re: Opinion needed.

I would contact ATT directly.  they should be able to tell you if its paid or not.  If not paid, as them would they be willing to pull the account back from the CA for payment.  Midland is not a CA to deal with.  Not nice 99% of the time!

Good luck

Also, you can call ATT but if they agree, reequest that they send the agreement in writing!

Re: Opinion needed.

I will try that. I guess they will be able to find it if it is owed, since ATT has changed back and forth so many times......................
