Overwhelming Debt

I am in $70,000 of debt.  Credit card and personal loans.  Need suggestions on what is the best direction to go, in order to get this resolved?  My credit score is 665.

Re: Overwhelming Debt

Your post lack vital information for any constructive advice.

Who are your creditors?

What is the debt loan on each CC?

What are the interest rates?

How much can you afford to pay each month?

If you lay all these things out in a concise manner, then you are sure going to have better response that just stating the total debt alone.

Re: Overwhelming Debt

Welcome to the forums!

First thing you should do is pull all of your reports from here https://www.annualcreditreport.com/cra/index.jsp.

You need to know your DOFD and SOL of each type of account.

Read these to get a feel for the processes, abbreviations, etc.

Credit Scoring 101        Guide to Common Abbreviations

List any negative accounts, leaving out personal information.

It can be a long process but you can achieve what you are trying to do with patience and perseverance.

Re: Overwhelming Debt

A DMP would help the CC debt since it would lower the interest rates and eliminate the OTL fees.

Stay away from Debt Settlement companies since they are a scam and will make the situation 1000 times worse.
