P*ssed Off!

Ok, time to rant.  I called Honda Finance concerning the 2 late payments from late last year that occured when my autopay did not initiate.  I was out of the country, so I did not find out until I came back, and I paid in full the day I got back.

I have sent 3 GW letters to them, and they have not responded once, so I called.  I talked to 4 different people, the first hanging up on me when she tried putting me on hold.  The second telling me to call the main office.  The third (in the main office) told me they did not handle any account issues and to call back the finance number.  And finally the fourth telling me there was nothing she could do, and they will report it for 7 years.

This is my 3rd Honda I have owned, and I have NEVER been late before or since on any payment to them.  I feel as if they are treating me like someone who purposely did not pay.  I offered to show all the documentation from my trip, but they were not interested.

I will keep sending GW letters, and I am sure they will not have the common courtesy to reply.  However, the time has come to step it up.  PFB will be filled with my posts, and I will flood them with complaint letters.  Not because they will not remove the baddies, but because they refuse to allow me to present them the facts.

Was it my fault that the payments were late?  Technically yes.  However, I set the auto pay through Wells Fargo (they do not take any responsibility - better read the terms and conditions for those using their auto bill pay), and I can show the people I had the money in my account.

All I wanted was for someone to take the time and look at my situation.  They did not even have the courtesy to do this.  I can guarantee you one thing, I will never buy another Honda.  Not because I do not like the vehicles, but because they will not treat a person like a person.  All I wanted was a review of the facts.

F them.  Thanks for reading.

Re: P*ssed Off!

Sorry John, it seems that Honda would be more willing to GW this issue.  I know I wouldn't be a repeat customer.

Re: P*ssed Off!

Thanks Brammy,

What makes it so painful to swallow is the fact that I have worked my a** off to make sure I am never late on payments anymore.  I am working to have the "American Dream" of owning my own home, so I have been perfect on all my payments over the past few years.

This is such a nightmare for me.  Very depressing.

i agree, it would seem that at least someone would let you plead your case before they slap you down with the toe the line or else mentality.

Re: P*ssed Off!

Have you tried to contact someone at Honda at the Executive Level?  A lot of time going straight to the top makes a big difference.  It did for me with AMEX!

Re: P*ssed Off!

sl,

So you mean by letter or by telephone.  It is impossible to find their email addresses, so this is out.

I have sent a couple letters to them and wrote 2 letters on PFB.  I will get someone to listen to me eventually.  If they decide not to take off the baddies, then that is fine.  I just want them to actually listen to the situation.
