Hi All,

I'm kind of confused and happy at the same time lol...I sent a PFD letter out 3weeks ago to a company to start making payments on a account I wanted to pay off to clean up my credit report I never received any kind of response back from the company but a few days ago I check my report and the account I wanted to PFD was deleted which was strange to me do to the fact they never replied back to me...my question is would that account show back up on my report somehow?? any kind of help will be very welcome

Welcome to the forum

It could be a number of reasons why it disappeared

1) they deleted because the debt no longer belongs to them but this is just a guess

And yes it could show up again

Before you app think...
Have you done your research of the CC?
Does it fit your spending?
Do you have a plan for the bonus w/o going into debt?
Can you afford the AF?
Do you know the cards benefits? Is it worth the HP?

Re: PFD Letter

Reinsertion of previously deleted information is only regulated under the FCRA if deletion was done by the CRA based on lack of verification of a dispute.

If its an OC account, I would also speculate that they may have sold the debt, and simply wanted to remove their reporting so as to eliminate any need to update reporting or to investigate any dispute that might be filed.

If sold, you will most likely see the new owner reporting a collection.

You might contact the OC, and if they state the debt was sold, obtain the name of the new owner.

You could then send a DV to prevent credit reporting until such time as they provide validation of the debt, or contact them and make a similar pay for not reporting offer to them.  They may be more receptive to agreement not to report than to deletion after they report.
