PFD question?

Has anyone had any luck with a PFD and settlement? Or with a PFD, do you always have to pay full amount? Thanks!

Re: PFD question?

jps, when I was negotiating my CA's, I PIF'd, because the amounts were so low($269 & $69).

Don't know the effects of a settlement has, if it will be deleted from your CR.

Maybe others will chime in later with their experiences.

Good luck to you. Smiley Happy

Re: PFD question?

Thanks for your help. And to add another question;

Is it better to just bypass the CA, and go straight through the OC?

Re: PFD question?

It's always ideal to try to fix things with the OC if it's a possibility.  It's usually also easier to get a settlement with the OC.  Many people work out settlements in conjunction with the PFD but it's not always a given and depends on individual circumstances and the particular OC.  Make sure your new PFD offer details that the agreement includes removing both OC and CA reporting.

Re: PFD question?

I agree with S.C. if the account is still owned by OC then negotiate only with them
