Paid off accounts reporting closed with a balance?

I tried searching this and didn't have much luck.

I recently closed one of my cards with a 0 balance. In fact they sent me a check for the annual fee they refunded me at the time of closure.

On my credit report it shows that it close by consumer request but the balance says $152. That balance was a few months prior to the closure and paid off. It sat with a 0 balance for a few months prior to closure.

My car loan I paid off last month. It shows as closed but with a balance of $7,757. However it was paid off because I sold my car.

Should I contact someone to get the reports to reflect a 0 balance?

Definitely.  Closed revolvers reporting with a balance can count against you depending on the details of how they're reporting.
