Paper work from CA to settle a CC debt

First let me say that I have been sick to my stomach from dealing with this company and the first time I felt better was after finding this forum last night. Many thanks to al those who participate on this site.

I am about to settle a CO that happened to me two months ago and I do not know if the letter the CA gave me is sufficient. The only line in the letter that references my credit is as follows:

"Upon successful negotiation of said, funds this account will be settled in full and our client will update your credit report accordingly."

Is this good enough should I stipulate that something else be added also how should I pay them? (check, Money Order, etc.)

My only concern is will they update to paid collection or will they Delete? Is this letter in response to a PFD?

No they laughed at me when I said PFD. Should I wait it out and see if they will PFD in a few months?

Give us some particulars. How much money. What is DOFD. Who is OC and CA. The only way is to get it in writing. If they laugh at you then I say tell them to jump..........only go with PFD in writing.
