Pay in full trigger a Chase update?

Trying to test AZE1 score impact.    I have a chase card I'm paying off steadily but another card that has a recurring balance (my ATT phone bill) on it that I pay in full Closing date was 7/4

Ive read that Chase updates mid cycle whenever you pay card to $0

If I pay off the card to 0% today will it update to  Experian?

If so I'll do it as it would give a AZE1 clean data point.

Re: Pay in full trigger a Chase update?

If you pay the current balance on your Chase card down to $0.00 they will update mid-cycle.

Thanks.   I'll pay it to zero which will get me to 1/3 cards reporting balance.     Really curious what I'll see for FICO score add

CRe: Pay in full trigger a Chase update?

Generally speaking if I'm trying to do AZEO, I use Chase for my non zero card because if another card unexpectedly reports a balance, I can pay the Chase to get back to 1 with a balance.

I'm still learning the FICO game but this appears to be a great gimmick to play right before you do a CC or loan app.    WIth only two cards and both from Chase that I'm actively using it's very easy for me to track usage.

FICO scoring is stupid.    If you've been paying on time for years at least grace period it and give 3-6 months of all zeros before flowing out the penalty flag.

Step 1 complete.    PIF and closing date not until Aug4.

Small balance and it won't trigger anywhere near other thresholds for aggregate.    Already got payment email from Chase so I expect my Chase acct will update to zero balance tomorrow and then then 1-3 days to get the answer.

Re: Pay in full trigger a Chase update?

Can not make this up......    I paid the balance and it show $0 balance.    Buuuut, checking my Chase acct they gave me an $8000 CLI literally last night.     So I'm not sure when the new report comes out if it will include the ClI or not which will obliterate testing AZE1

Tell them you don't want it. For science.

LOL I literally laughed out loud when I saw email.     I think the AZE1 experiment will still be valid as the CLI won't impact my United card individual UT and I'll go to 33% aggregate so won't dip below 30%.
