Personal Credit Presentation

Good morning all,

For one of my classes at college, I'll be delivering a speech about Credit and how it impacts each individual.

This speech is catered to college students, thus we can assume that we have short (if any) credit histories and a certain disregard for due dates.

My question to you all, is if you could give me any advice on information I should present to an assumed "credit dysfunctional" audience. Specifically, I am looking for suggestions like, "give some information on how FICO calulates its score," or "how does a credit inquiry work?"

Thanks, any help is much appreciated!

Re: Personal Credit Presentation

freelance, a wealth of information is at your fingertips, in the black menu bar at top of page.

In the "Credit Education" is a wonderful pie chart graph, which demonstates the weight of the various components of FICO scoring.

Under "Support" is an incredible amount of info for you. In the link titled "Understanding Credit Scores and Reports" are 2 downloadable booklets in .pdf format, titled "Understanding your FICO Score" & "Identity Theft & You".

To me, these 2 should be REQUIRED reading in a college level economics course.

Hope that helps. Those 2 menu tabs sure has helped me. Good luck to you Smiley Happy
