Guys, please tell me there is a way around hard pulls. I am so upset right now it isn't funny. ![]()
If I do have to resort to this...are the hard pulls counted in the same way as credit cards?

It will not have an impact on your score. Credit checks made by businesses to offer you goods or services do not count toward your score. Hope that helps! The only one I know about is AT&T - that is a hard pull, and I assume it counts against my score

LisaJ, my DirecTV pull last month appears to have been a soft, but there's no way to know if yours would be the same.
If they pull a hard, it'll affect your score like any other hard inquiry. If a soft, then ChopBrocoli is correct - no effect.
When I changed long-distance providers for my landline a year ago, that was a hard.
