Phone # for AllianceOne?

I'm hoping to close on a mortgage this month but am being hampered by an open collection on my CR. It's a medical account for $318 that's been given to AllianceOne.

At this point, despite the dispute (an insurance issue), I'm willing to pay it just to get it closed up and, I hope, off my CR. I sent them a PFD but got no response, so I'm stuck -- I have to call them because this has to get cleared up this week. Does anyone know a working phone # for them? The one I have (765) 778-5100 always says its after hours or they are closed for a special event.

And thanks to this board in general. My mortgage lender was shocked when, a month after running my credit for my first pre-approval (for a house I didn't get) I told her to run it again, and the special score they use had jumped 30 points! Thanks to everyone here whose good advice is helping me finally buy a home.

I have a phone number that goes directly to a rep. 877-768-8249. His name is NICK.

He ROYALLY effed us over in 2006 before we knew about myfico and told us to ignore the settlement letter, if we paid him in full, the charged-off Cap1 acc't would be deleted entirely. Of course that was total BS and when we called Cap1 this year to find out why the acc't is still on his CR, we were told there are no arrangements like that.

I called the # I had written down in 06 the other day, just to see... and it's still his #, apparently he still works for AllianceOne lying to people for a living.


Give him hell. Make it the hardest, most painful collection he's ever had to deal with. Inform him you will record the entire conversation, and then make him send you everything in writing, anyway. Just make it... painful.. for my sake.
