Please Help!

Midland placed a collection account on my all three credit reports in January 08. My transunion score went from 698 to 650 which is bad because I planned on refinancing my card in March. I immediately sent a DV with the 30 day period and as of today have not received a response from them. I also disputed with Experian and Transunion who both verified. I filed a complaint with the BBB and they sent a letter with Midlandn's response basically saying Midland claims you owe them xxx amount of dollars with the last four digits of my social and that Midland would send verification to me when they get it. I also disputed the orginal account which was Newport News and I believe this account is out ot the statue of limitations.  The date DOFD is saying 2/03 and I know that's wrong.I also filed a complain with the BBB in New York and they deleted the account from all three CRA's. I received an e-mail today from the BBB in regards to the Newport news account saying: COMPANY RESPONSE states: Due to the circumstances, we have accepted this case as fraud and will advise the credit reporting agencies to delete the tradeline.  Please feel free to contact our Security/Fraud Department at 1-800-215-9529 with any questions. Is there anyway I can use this to get Midland to delete this off of my credit reports? I won't be able to refinance my car because of this. I also paid down my balances and pulled my Transunion today and my score dropped to 644? I don't know what to do. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Re: Please Help!

I wish I had an answer for you.  Our real estate agent has a mortgage broker friend who did a credit repair on DH and my credit.  We had paid everything, but it still showed on our CR.  Everything was deleted from our reports with the exception of a Midland Credit on DH.  If you find out anything, I would be very interested.

Good Luck!

Is the 30 days up? Did you send CMRRR?

If yes and yes, send a copy of the letter, copy of CM label, copy of greencard, and a letter to the CRA and explain that you sent Midland a debt validation letter and under FDCPA (809 I think, but you can look that part up) they must validate within 30 days or they are not allowed to collect/report on it and that they failed to validate, the account needs to be deleted.
