Potential problems joining NFCU? Opinions?

I am curious if NFCU does a hard pull just for opening a checking/savings account?  If so, here is my current situation:

1. Currently Deployed
2. Active Duty Alert on all 3 CRA (No contact number listed on alert)
3. No current phone number (unless NFCU can call DSN )

So... will they pull for membership or does applying online go smoothly?  Also, if they do pull for membership, can you use the same pull for other products? Thanks!

I was briefly a member of NFCU.  There was never an inquiry on my CR.  Not saying they don't, it just never showed up on mine.

Online should work just like going in to the bank.

I had no hard pull when I joined.  Their CSR's are amazing! 

Give them a call any time....someone is always there 24/7/365.  If you're deployed, they will know exactly what to do to hook ya up!  I have never dealt with such a great group of folks ever before.

UPDATE:

NFCU did a HP on TU for membership.  Overall application process was smooth though
