Pre-Approved Offers

After getting 2-3 Wamu pre-approved offers, I applied on line and got a $4,500 credit limit.  Since then, I've gotten 4 more Wamu Visa/MC pre-approved offers and an inviation for JC Penney.  Does Wamu give out 2 cards? ie. if I apply for the MC although I already have the Visa, will they automatically deny me?

Re: Pre-Approved Offers

What were your scores when you got those preapproval offers? Do you know which CRA they pulled from?

YES- WAWU will only issue 2 cards- verified

Not verified is that they will issue a MC and a Visa but not 2 Visa's or 2 MC's.

Re: Pre-Approved Offers

I signed up for this card 3.5 weeks ago, online, and still have not heard from them.  I did not get immediately approved (which sort of surprised me, but whatev), and instead got a message stating I should hear something in 2 to 4 weeks.  Since then, they've sent me the pre-approval two more times.  I haven't bothered re-applying, as I figured after the 4 weeks, I'd call to see what the hangup is.  My scores, this in March, were in the 718 to 742 range, and I haven't done anything recently (that I know of) that would change them that much.  Just thought it was odd that I hadn't heard anything from them.

I know a couple years ago when I tried applying online to a pre-approval, I didn't orginally get the card, but a letter was sent out the very next week.  That was when I found my Experian CR was basically blank.  After I had them look into it, though, they updated and approved me.

Re: Pre-Approved Offers

Even though it hasn't (quite) been 4 weeks?

It does seem odd to me that I haven't received any mailings from them, one way or the other.  Of course, what's the pain in calling a number and asking, right?
