If i get a alert that my scores went up from myfico report, how long does it take for the system to get my new scores to see if i"m prequalifed to get a credit card. hope i word it right. any help would be appreciated.
@razzy116 The alert occurs after the score increase/decrease so the "system" already has the new scores.
But note that some lenders use soft pulls for pre-qualification while others use their own databases which might not update frequently. Insuch cases you might need to wait up to a month before their system updates to the new score.

If MyFICO reported that your scores went up, then they've gone up. Prequalification is a completely different issue. Just check the sites to see if you're prequalified. And remember that prequalification doesn't mean you'll get approved.

I experienced a pre-qual once in my new credit journey that ended in a denial and still regret that hp sitting on my credit report for nothing gained (11 months before it drops). I had originally thought that pre-quals were pretty much guaranteed but I learned that day they are definitely not.
Like other said, the creditor might do a soft pull, or have their own database. They might not always use or have the current sccore, hence you might need to wait a month. For example, Capital One still uses a report for me where they see 618. In reality, as of today an for the past 2 months at least, i've been hovering around 680-690. Its weird, you'd think they would want current scores when evaluating someone, but no. Not all of these creditors.
