Question Re: PFD letters

Hello,

I've been reading the forums intently but am still left with this question-- can Pay For Delete letters work with the original creditor, or just the collections agencies?  I have a ridiculous $16 from the utility company that is delinquent on my account.  I already went the disputing route with no success.  Could I have a chance with a PFD?  Is there any reason I should offer more than the $16?  Please, help me get rid of it!

Thanks in advance.

PFD can work for whomever is reporting. Doesn't matter if it is OC or CA.

Re: Question Re: PFD letters

This can be touchy, when you pay you activate an old item.  The best thing to do is to call and ask if they will not respond to a confirmation of account from the bureaus if you pay it.  Get it in writing then pay it.
