Question about CA and PFD ?

Hi, I am new to this board and so glad that I have found it. I have been working so hard over the past few years to correct years of bad credit history. I was doing great. I had all of my CCs paid in full, my autos paid off, etc. I was just waiting the 7 years for all of the late payment history to start falling off.

In the past year I have let my guard down. I have two CAs showing on my account in the last six months. One for Verizon and the other for Time Warner. They are completely my fault and totally stupid oversights on my part. I feel so stupid!!!!

I paid the Verizon CA and feel like maybe I should send a GW request to the CA for that? I just received the Time Warner CA letter this week. It is only $140 and I can pay in full. Should I send them a PFD letter? I know that it is mine and that it was my fault.

Is there any hope of getting these two marks off my record?

Thanks for any advice.

Is the Time Warner showing on your CR as a collection?
I would send a GW to the other.

Re: Question about CA and PFD ?

I've dealt with them before.  Send them a PDF Letter.  From what I gather is they buy the dept don't hold on to accounts to long and if they no longer handle the account, they remove it from your CB.

They may refer you back to TW and if they do, do a PDF with TW.

Good luck.
