May be this question should be in General credit section, but it does refer to the application process. So please excuse me.
If I have EQ freeze on, how quickly is to unfreeze it in the situation if I am applying for a credit card and will be on the phone with an underwriter and I need to give access to my EQ right away? Can it be done quickly? Is it reliable?
Asking about particularly about EQ "freeze", not "lock" with Lock&Alert, although I will appreciate any info about "lock" too.
EQ lock is sending a verification code via mail, how strange is it!
I need to use "freeze", but afraid it wouldn't "unfreeze" quickly. I never used EQ freeze before.
TIA myFico and good luck to everyone!
It's pretty quick if you are using an app or are doing it online. I would unlock it right before the call with the underwriter and you should be fine.
Good luck!

Yep, freezing and unfreezing take a couple of minutes.
