Question about Equifax

Hi everyone!

First off, my apologies if this is in the incorrect location. To give you a little background of myself I am 18 years old, 19 in August. I applied for a Discover it Chrome Student Card the day I turned 18 and got approved with a $2,000 SL. I also got Credit Karma to make sure that everything was reporting correctly. I decided to start very early as I wanted to build my credit as soon as possible.

My main question though was that I am at about 10 months of having my credit card and I still cannot find my equifax report anywhere. I have tried calling, was told I didn't have a report under my social. Equifax also doesn't report a score on Credit Karma, and not aware of anywhere else I can get the Equifax report. I tried doing one of my free credit reports for the year with Equifax, and was told to send specific documents in to Equifax. I got a response in about three weeks telling me that they could not pull up a Credit Report for my social. Has anyone else faced this same situation as well? I have called Discover before as well and asked if they are reporting to Equifax and assured me they were, as well as sending a mid-statement report to all the bureaus. It's been quite annoying as I'm not sure if possible card applications are getting declined as Equifax reportedly doesn't have a credit report for me.

Thanks!

Re: Question about Equifax

Congrats on starting the credit journey. Coming to the topic in subject, why only Equifax? Discover reports to all 3 bureaus. You should send mails / call TU, EX and EQ to get to know where the problem is. Some lenders pull Transunion and many pull Experian for new credit.

Hey Posiedon, I was referencing only Equifax because I'm able to access my other credit reports, and am able to see those online without having to go through the hassle of calling them. I did try financing an iPhone through Apple and they pulled Equifax and the reason for denial they gave me was that they were not able to access my credit report.

I went ahead and tried checking them out. I saw the TrustedID website, but I could not find a way to sign up for it.
