Question about Fingerhut temporary CLI

I applied for a Fingerhut account about a year and a half ago when I started rebuilding my credit.  Luckily, it is not my oldest account.  I have used it off and on during free shipping promotions to keep it active, but I know the products are overpriced.  I was recently given a temporary increase to $2,000 and can make it permanent by spending $300 in the next three months.  I am definitely not going to do that, and in fact, I believe it may be time to close the account.  Does anybody know if closing my account during the temporary increase will cause the closed account to report as having had a limit of $2,000, or will it report as the old limit of $1,700?

Thanks for any information!
