Question about PIF on Amex Gold card

I got the Amex gold card about three months ago and am aware that the balance must be paid in full every month. My question is does the balance need to be paid in full by the payment due date or before the next statement cycle?

You still get the float.   Put another way, if you make a charge in this billing cycle the charge will show up on your next statement and only then will payment in full be due, before the payment date associated with that next statement.

It is best to pay your stated statement balance before the due date.

You can get pay over time options for some of your charges but I recommend PIF.
