Hi, ozgirl, I always enjoy it when you drop in! The FICO score is generated by the FICO formula, and the TC FAKO is generated by whatever they have scribbled out on sticky notes and the backs of envelopes.
So the two sites have the same data to crunch, but their black boxes are different, so different scores spit out the other side.
What's really fun is explaining that Equifax sells the actual EQ FICO score from its site, but the EQ scores that come from monitoring services are FAKO's. EQ even has its own 3-in-1, and if I were even more obsessed with scoring than I already am, I would pay for those scores, and see if the EQ 3-in-1 score is the same as the EQ FICO.
