Question about a recent call from CA

The other day I got a call from a collection agency saying I owed $91.67 to Verizon.I had no clue what she was talking about and ended the call.I recieved a letter a few days later with a date on it of 3-08-03.What should my first step be seeing I really do not recall any debt to Verizon and I still have Verizon as my phone service and have never recieved any due bill.

If verizon has no such debt for you get it in writing
