Question about credit report

On Experian hubby's Credit One card shows as 'opened 9/1, last update 1/1' and on the other 2 it's showing as 'opened 9/23, last update 1/23'. Does that mean that it should update again for Experian on 2/1? The next update will be 6 months and I should be able to get a score. Just trying to figure out if it would be the 1st or 23rd of February.

Re: Question about credit report

Mandatory update occurs only if information has changed such that the current reporting is no longer accurate.

There is no precise date of mandatory update.

Re: Question about credit report

In my experience, Experian lists the first of each month as the update for all my open accounts. On TU & EQ though, each account has a "last reported" date that is usually around a week after my payment due date - sometimes longer. Look on a TU or EQ report and you will be able to see when the creditor usually reports. Mine all typically report within a 3 day period each month - such as 13th-15th for one card, 10-13th on a different card, etc

Scores on 4/182016
Mortgage - EQ 694 EX 713 TU 706
FICO - EQ 654 EX 696 TU 691

Re: Question about credit report

You can also always contact your creditors to verify report dates.  Keep in mind though that it can take a CRA several days to update after the data is reported.
