Question about debt validation??

Hi everyone, I just have a question, I have an old gas bill from 2002 that a family member had under my name without my consent, I had no idea until I found an old bill. Well I disputed it and just sent out for dv so I was wondering, what could they possibly send me to validate dept? Its through alliance one collection agency. Also, if I get that removed, it was a bill for $470.00 any idea how much my score would go up? One more question. I sent the letter for dv certified and got a recipet so if I dont hear anything from them in 30 days then what do I do? Thanks!!

Did you send return receipt requested(greencard)? Wait 30-35 days after they sign for it, and if no response or they do not validate correctly, send a copy of the letter, greencard, and a letter to the CRA and explain that per FDCPA the CA has to validate within 30 days of requested or they can't report/collect and that the CA failed to do so, therefore the account should be deleted from your CR.
