Question for those who have disputed with CSC.

Boy! They take the FULL 30 days. Updated just now(30 days up tomorrow) hoping it be over a day ahead of time. Oh no, can't do that.

My question is.......if it is "verified" do they update the comment to say that? Or remove the comment after it is over?

Right now it just says "consumer disputes- re-investigation in progress"

Will it say something like "consumer disputes- reinvestigated - verified"

Re: Question for those who have disputed with CSC.

It would say what it says...and in my experience CS says their disputes take up to 45 days...so I would look towards 45 days...not 30 days...

If the comment doesn't change to say that it is verified or anything, then won't it always look like the account is in dispute?

They have 30 days. 45 days if you dispute through annualcreditreport.com and 45 days if they receive "additional information"

I have one that was disputed 8 months ago and verified.  It still shows the "consumer disputes....." on my CR.

Re: Question for those who have disputed with CSC.

According to CSC........when the dispute is over it will just say "Consumer disputes this account" the "re-investigation in progress" part will be dropped if it is verified.

They confirmed the disputes were closed. So, maybe just MAYBE, TC wasn't updated when I updated my report just after midnight this morning. Or CSC didn't close the disputes until today.

They couldn't tell me the outcome..blah, blah, blah.

Oh the wait until 12:10am is going to be a looooooooong one.

Re: Question for those who have disputed with CSC.

I did a dispute last month on CSC website..and on print out with the disputes..it says...

"Completion of the dispute process can take up to 30 to 45 days. Within five days of completion of the reinvestigation of your disputes, the results of the reinvestigation, including a current copy of your consumer report will be sent to you by CSC via US First Class Mail. Please verify your mailing address before submitting request"

So you have about 14 more days...

No, the dispute is closed, the CSR confirmed that on the phone today but couldn't tell me when it was closed or what the results are. Just that when the investigation is complete, if the account is verified, the statement will change from "consumer disputes this account - reinvestigation in progress" to "consumer disputes this account"

It says 30 to 45 days because they have 30 but if they receive "additional information" they can add 15 days to the investigation time.

FCRA says 30 days.

Re: Question for those who have disputed with CSC.

Wait a second....I thought they had 30 days to check and verify.  If it didn't get verified in those 30 days than it should be deleted.  What is this business of 45 days?
