I am convinced that both EX and EQ, don't respond until exactly 30 days after they receive your dispute. I am talking about 30 days after they sign for your letter, they date their letter back to you. I have Equifax Credit Watch Gold and for 30 days the account showed consumer disputes investigation in progress. Day 31, the comment was gone. Several days later I received a hard copy response.
I did an online dispute with EX then got a link to monitor the dispute. All the page showed was dispute in progress and an expected completion date. Not much to monitor. Again, several days after the 30 days I got a hard copy letter
If you find a good source for patience pills to reduce stress while waiting, please let me know. I find the waiting harder than the actual letter writing and disputing.
