Angie,
It sounds to me like your bank provided proof to chex systems that your NSF's were paid. The credit bureau's will not accept a third party verification (at least that I have ever heard of) for issues on your credit report, they need verification from the original creditor that placed the item on your credit, in your case your bank. However as I alluded to it seems your bank provided chex systems with information so I see no reason why they wouldn't do the same for the credit bureau's. Go to your bank explain the situaiton and see if you can get a letter from them stating they amount is paid in full and also tell them or whomever you are working with that you give them (the bank) permission to speak with any agent representing the three credit bureau's in regards to this matter and this matter alone. Alot of times that is a hang up when people are trying to get items updated on their credit reports, the bureau's will call the original creditor and if they (your bank in this case) do not have permission from you, to speak with the agent representing the bureau's in your particular case then the information can not get verified and it just takes that much longer from things to get completed. You won't know until the next time you pull your credit if the information was cleared up and then you see it hasn't, you call or write a letter to find out why and then next thing you know it is 2,3 or 4 months just to get something small updated. That would be my advice get the bank to write the letter and give them permission to speak to the bureau's to verify the information.
