Question

I had a vehicle repo'd in 2014. I've been in payment arrangements with them since 2015 and will continue paying until the debt is zero. The account itself was opened in 2012 so it's past 7 years old. Listed as closed/charged off account. I sent CEO an email asking them to remove the account or list as paid as agreed. I got alerts from CS saying the account was closed and on EQ CK it shows payment hx deleted. Could I dispute as too old to report and have whole account removed now??

Re: Question

On what date did you first become delinquent on the debt in the period of delinquency that led up to the charge-off?

Credit report exclusion of a charge-off or collection is based only on the DOFD.

Fall of 2014. I know that's the rule but I'm wondering why they updated the account and removed all payment information after receiving my email to CEO. I'm just confused.

They might have interpreted as a dispute and rather than verify it, easier to remove it, I would not worry about it.
