The previously discussed transunion deleted 2 off my report both under $500. Redisputed the same with Equifax and they were both removed today. It took the while 30 days but my fresh report shows their gone. Hopefully within helps someone else out.
Just be persistent that the collections are medical debt under $500 and you would like them removed per the new reporting rules. That's what I told them.
Cheers, Jeff
What did you use as the Dispute reason for Equifax? They seem to be the most stubborn to remove medical collections under $500, as TransUnion and Experian removed them right away.
I had to call and speak their language before they slowly understood me if you catch my drift. So the first one I did myself they couldn't comprehend the comments where I put it all in. Nope they just verified as accurate and closed it. The lady said they don't go off the comments, only the bullet you select. 😑 like this isn't rocket science folks lol. So just call and recite the new rules and tell them you want them removed and they will re dispute it for you.
Jeff
My friend is down to the one Experian debt. He called them again and asked to have it removed as medical debt under $500. They once again said that it could be until the end of June before it gets removed, but the agent was happy to try again.
Wish there was a guaranteed way to get them to do it.
His other two reports now have no derogatory marks.
Well, I guess third time's the charm. :-) Experian finally removed the last medical collection on my friend's report (his only collection), and his score increased by 133 points to 790. Not a bad day. :-)
Yay! Persistence is the key

Guess not actually. Yesterday, he got the results of the dispute, which was "confirmed" and despite it having been removed (must have been my some other process), it got added back. He called as soon as he saw that, got a rep who said: "You are right, I think I can just remove in using an internal process" and 10 minutes later it was removed again. Such an painful experience.
