Quick Question about CA and GW letters

Hi new, been reading a lot great info. I am a little confused about GW and dealing with collection agencies. I am 25 with a credit score of 580 I have no credit cards and a short credit history all I have are student loans and a car loan. Sadly I have been late 8 times in the last 3 years. And I have a CA which is paid for 300 from college which is almost 3 years old. For the last 3 years been living from pay check to pay check. As of 2 weeks ago I have a new job that allows me to pay my bills on time and put money away. My confusion comes at if GW letters will help me at this point or do i just need to buckle down and wait out my score. Can I contact the CA and ask or dispute for removal? Or is that too late since it is already paid and has been sitting for 3 years? Can I contact my student and car loans and ask for consideration about the late payments? It has been 6 months since my last late payment from any of them. Once again glad I found this site. Excited to learn more. Thanks Mike

Re: Quick Question about CA and GW letters

Yes, you can conattc any collection agency or creditor to request that they remove the late payments from your credit report. The hard cold facts is thtatit is up to them. For now on just do not be late. But you are encouraged to try and not give up. The worst case scenerio would be that you have another few years to wait until they fall off your report. They will stay on your credit reports for seven years from when the creditors reported them. GOOD LUCK!!!!!
