Quizzle Credit Monitoring: good deal?

I've signed up for all the free services out there (Credit Karma, Quizzle, Credit Sesame). Was reading the Credit Monitoring Service (CMS) Guide looking at the alternatives when I noticed Quizzle's Credit Monitoring was reasonably priced at $5/month (less than Netflix!)

Quizzle's free service allows for a free credit report and score every 6 months.

Quizzle's Credit Monitoring service allows for a credit report and score every month.

I'm thinking this might be a good deal. Any comments, good or bad?

I signed up at Quizzle.  I believe it pulls the data from EX but I don't think its a real EX score.  I guess it coul dhave some value as far as watching your EX reports though.  I pay TU and EQ to watch my reports with them, so for $5 that would be useful.

Re: Quizzle Credit Monitoring: good deal?

From the Quizzle FAQ

Is my free Quizzle credit report a real credit report?

Yes, indeed! Quizzle gives you a full and free credit report from Experian, one of the nation’s three leading credit bureaus.

What kind of credit score does Quizzle offer?

Quizzle gives you a CE Credit Score that’s based on your credit report from Experian, one of the three major credit bureaus. The score’s scale is 350 (minimum) to 850 (maximum).

Re: Quizzle Credit Monitoring: good deal?

I think one of the best values is eliminateidtheft.com. We pay 180 per year for both my wife and me to get daily pulls from all 3. That comes out to 7.50 per month each. Can't remember what their price for one person is, or whether you can share with someone other than your spouse.

Starting Score: ~500 (12/01/2008)
Current Score: EQ 681 (04/05/13); TU 98 728 (01/06/12), TU 08? 760 (provided by Barclay 1/2/14), TU 04 728 (lender pull 01/12/12); EX 742 (lender pull 01/12/12)
Goal Score: 720

Does EliminateIDTheft.com include credit scores or only reports? I understand most scores offered are FAKO scores but I like to use them to track trends.

Re: Quizzle Credit Monitoring: good deal?

It gives you FAKO scores as well. I don't remember which ones. I think it's the same platform as Truecredit. On my phone right now, I can check later.

Re: Quizzle Credit Monitoring: good deal?

eliminateidtheft says triple credit reports and triple scores.  There's an individual plan and an individual plus spouse plan.  $12.95 a month, or pay the full year for $140, making it $11.66.  Much cheaper than what I'm paying!  I'm paying EQ $17 and Truecredit probably $20-something.  Gosh!  But I just renewed EQ so I'm stuck with them for another month.  I'll have to check my Truecredit renew date and see if I can drop them.

Anyone else using this service?

Re: Quizzle Credit Monitoring: good deal?

I can't tell if eliminateidtheft allows daily pulls.  It says it has daily email alerts but can you actually pull daily?

The data is provided by TU Interactive which is the same as TrueCredit, but TrueCredit doesn't give you EX data.

Re: Quizzle Credit Monitoring: good deal?

It gives you all three and you can pull daily. It takes a few days to activate after you set it up, but for the value, it is worth waiting a couple days.

Also, it is a little wonky bc you have to log in at eliminateidtheft.com, then click on credit center and enter your zip. Then click on 3-in-1 credit monitoring which takes you to another landing page to enter your log in information to access your report. Not sure why they make you go through all that every time, but for 15/month for me to have access to my reports and my wife's, it's not bad.

Ok, thanks for explaining because I just had my sis sign up while I sat on the phone, and we were confused.  She did everything but couldn't see how to log in.  So apparently she has to wait a few days to get the login and so forth.
